Kelley provided the voice of Dr. McCoy for Star Trek: The Animated Series from 1973 to 1974. He also played Dr. McCoy in the Star Trek film series from 1979 to 1991. Kelley also appeared in episodes of the TV series The Lone Ranger, Gunsmoke, Perry Mason, and Bonanza. He was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 7021 Hollywood Blvd. in 1991.
