Roger Moore net worth: Roger Moore was an English actor, producer and director who had a net worth of $110 million. How did he accumulate such an impressive net worth? Of his many roles as an actor, he is undoubtedly most famous for being the third man to play Agent 007 James Bond in the official James Bond franchise series from MGM. But Moore’s career began in a slightly different mold, as a model. He was born in London, the son of a housewife and a police officer. He got a job as an animation apprentice after dropping out of high school. Before becoming Bond, Roger appeared in print ads for everything from knitwear to toothpaste. His first TV appearance was on a 1950 program entitled Drawing Room Detective. From there, Moore scored a contract with MGM, but his work with the studio at that point was undistinguished. He eventually returned to, and found stardom on, television, appearing in TV programs such as Maverick and The Alaskans. Moore got his first taste of worldwide stardom playing Simon Templar on the British TV series The Saint which ran from 1962 to 1968. That show, which was hugely popular in the United States as well as in England, showed Moore as a quipping spy and very obviously helped pave the way for his eventual casting as James Bond. Moore replaced Sean Connery as Bond at the age of 46. His first Bond film was “Live and Let Die”. He appeared in six subsequent films. That technically makes him the longest-running James Bond to date. Since retiring as James Bond, Moore has continued to act, appearing in movies such as Cats and Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore, A Princess for Christmas and The Carer.
Outside of acting, Roger was known for his passionate work for UNICEF. In 199 he was awarded a Commander of the British Empire in acknowledgement of this charity work. In 2003, he was advanced to Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire. Sir Roger Moore died on May 23, 2017 at the age of 89.
